This week, we're excited to host The Rhone Ranger Randall Grahm, founder of Bonnydoon and Popelouchum—The Project.
We cannot overstate Randall's accomplishments in wine and his impact on the Rhone category in the US. Since his crowning as The Rhone Ranger on the cover of Wine Spectator in 1989, he has been a champion of the category. He continues to further innovation in winemaking with Popelouchum, a 400-acre property near San Juan Bautista, which he purchased with ambitious plans to breed 10,000 new grape varieties, and produce a true vin de terroir in the New World.
Both winemakers plan to open up some of our more experimental varieties in theme. Neil will open a 2019 Bourboulenc and our newly bottled, first-ever Vaccarese from Tablas Creek. Randall will open a Cinsault/Syrah blend and the Tibouren Blanc de Noir from Bonnydoon; as well as a select wine from Popelouchum.
We encourage you to open up a bottle of Tablas Creek or Bonnydoon and taste along with the winemakers.
