Robert Parker Wine Advocate (December 2022): 23 Tablas Creek Wines Up To 97 Points
We were excited to read Erin Brooks' annual reviews of our 2021 vintage wines in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. Highlights of the whites currently in bottle included the 2021 Patelin de Tablas Blanc (95 points), 2021 Grenache Blanc (95 points) and 2021 Cotes de Tablas Blanc (95 points). Red wines reviewed that will be released in 2023 included the 2021 Esprit de Tablas (94-96 points), 2021 Mourvedre (95-97 points), and 2021 Panoplie (95-97 points). From the introduction to her article on the region [subscription required]:
The newly bottled and soon-to-be-bottled 2021s at Tablas Creek are especially impressive. The cooler season resulted in transparent varietal expression from a wide range of Rhône varieties, including rarely seen varietal bottlings of Terret Noir and Bourboulenc. The 2021 Côtes de Tablas Blanc is the best iteration of the cuvée I have tasted, and overall, these 2021s are particularly polished. Fresh acidity that makes them easy to drink may also extend the life of these wines in the cellar.
