Decanter reports on rain in California wine country
Decanter's US Editor Clive Pursehouse speaks to our Jason Haas as a part of his report on the impact of the recent rains on California's wine country, and included photos taken during and after the rain by Director of Winemaking Neil Collins. From Jason's report:
‘The rains here were nothing but good news,’ Haas said. ‘We got about 15cm spread over a week, and that pushes us up to about 45cm for the year. That’s about 125% of normal for this date. It’s late enough in the winter season that the cover crops are very well established, and there was no erosion or any negative impacts whatsoever.’
